Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Proofolio. By creating an account you agree to them.

Your account

• You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (typically 16+ for students using the service with a guardian where required).
• You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for activity under your account.
• One person per account; tell us if you believe your account is compromised.

Your content

• You keep ownership of everything you upload or write.
• You give us the license needed to host and display your content as the service requires (for example, rendering your public portfolio page).
• You are responsible for your content: only upload material you have the right to use, and only claim achievements and credentials that are yours and truthful.

Acceptable use

Do not use Proofolio to violate the law, impersonate others, infringe copyrights, distribute malware, harass people, or attempt to disrupt or probe the service. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

AI features

Proofolio offers AI-assisted analysis and writing help. Output is automated, may be inaccurate, and is a suggestion — you review and approve everything before it appears in your portfolio. Do not submit documents you are not allowed to share.

Service and disclaimers

The service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that portfolio views or AI-generated suggestions will be suitable for any particular purpose (such as a university application). You are responsible for reviewing what you publish.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Proofolio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last twelve months (which is zero while the service is free).

Termination

You can stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
